Author's Bio

Stephen Yuffrida Brown (he/him) is a Philly-based writer, editor, and LGBT+ activist currently pursuing his Master of Fine Arts and Master of Arts at Rosemont College. While completing his Bachelor of Arts in English literature at Temple University, Stephen earned minor degrees in both LGBT+ studies and gender, sexuality, and women's studies. He holds an additional graduate-level certification in gender, sexuality, and women's studies, also awarded at Temple University.

Former fiction editor for Rathalla Review, Stephen now serves as the publication's managing editor as well as senior hybrid chapbook editor for Small Harbor Publishing. Stephen's debut chapbook, His Boyfriend Materials, came out in May of 2024 from Bottlecap Press. Materials is a brief exploration into the validity and nuance of temporary connection, particularly in the context of queer romance and hookup culture.
