Director of Finance & Administration
The Director of Finance and Administration works closely with the Executive Director to manage the financial health and long-term growth of Poets & Writers, and is accountable for all aspects of financial management, as well as administration and human resources.
The role requires significant experience in nonprofit financial operations and systems including accounting, budgeting, grants management, and audit management. The candidate should be detail-oriented and place a high value on maintaining meticulously clean, accurate books. In addition, they will have a keen business acumen and be a skilled communicator, with the ability to produce reports and make presentations that convey complex information clearly and accurately.
This is a full-time, in-person position in our New York City office, with the potential to work from home several days a week. The annual salary is $130,000, and comes with a benefits package that includes fully paid medical insurance, a voluntary 403(b) retirement plan, and generous paid time off.
