Author's Bio

Christine's short fiction has appeared in numerous literary journals including Wigleaf and the Kweli Journal. She is also the author of two middle grade novels published by Scholastic, The True Definition of Neva Beane and Riding Chance She was honored to have Riding Chance nominated for a NAACP Image Award in the category of Outstanding Literary Work for Youth/Teens.

Christine is an active member of the literary community. She co-curated the award winning reading series Creative at the Cannery with fellow author Matt Jakubowski from 2018 - 2021. She also served as a juror for the New York City Book Awards from 2019 to 2022. Christine currently serves on the board of A Book a Day, a Philadelphia based nonprofit that engages the arts to expand literacy.
