Author's Bio

Donna Obeid is an award-winning author and educator. She has been nominated for Best of the Net, multiple times for the Pushcart Prize, and was recently shortlisted for the Granum Foundation Prize; she has has received writing prizes from the Julia Peterkin Literary Awards, New Flash Fiction Review Award, Raymond Carver Short Story Contest, and Seventeen Magazine’s Fiction Contest. Donna earned a BA in English and Comparative Literature from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and an MA and MFA from American University where she was a teaching fellow. She grew up in a suburb outside of Detroit, has worked and lived in Southeast Asia and North Africa, and currently lives in California.
