Tina Barr

Tina Barr’s volumes of poetry include her most recent book, Pink Moon, Inaugural Winner of the Editor's Choice Award at Jacar Press, Green Target, winner of the Barrow Street Press Poetry Prize, judged by Patricia Spears Jones, and the Brockman Campbell Award, chosen by Michael Waters.  She is also the author of Kaleidoscope (Iris Press) and The Gathering Eye, Tupelo Press Editor's Award, & the chapbooks, At Dusk on Naskeag Point, The Fugitive Eye, and Red Land, Black Land, all winners of national chapbook competitions. She has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Tennessee Arts Commission, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, The MacDowell Colony, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and Ucross Foundation. Former director of the Creative Writing Program at Rhodes College and Charles R. Glover Chair of English Studies, she has taught in the Great Smokies Writing Program at University of North Carolina at Asheville. Her poetry archive is part of The Special Collections Research Center at Temple University's Charles Library.
