The Hermitage Bookshop

Established in 1973, The Hermitage Bookshop is located in a bricks-and-mortar building in the heart of Cherry Creek North in Denver, Colorado. The store features a wide selection of western Americana, travel books, hunting and fishing guides, military literature, children’s books, fine bindings, first editions, and signed books. Hours are Monday through Friday 10 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM.

Vroman’s Bookstore

Founded in 1894, Vroman’s is an independent family-run bookstore, a literary landmark, and a community center. The bookstore hosts over four hundred events a year, including author signings, launch parties, children’s storytimes, craft classes, and trivia nights. With a strong history of philanthropy, Vroman’s has supported many institutions and charitable causes and the Vroman’s Gives Back program donates a portion of purchases to a local organization of a customer’s choice.

Green Apple Books

Founded in 1967, this independent bookstore provides new and used books of all genres. Green Apple often hosts local authors for readings and book signings. The main bookstore features two floors of new and used nonfiction, new releases, children’s books, cookbooks, and has book buyback hours everyday. A Fiction & Music Annex featuring new and used fiction, music, movies, graphics novels, science fiction, mystery, and more is located down the street at 520 Clement Street.

WordsWorth Books & Co. is the oldest independent bookstore in Little Rock. It sells a variety of fiction and nonfiction titles, as well as books about local interests and various gifts. WordsWorth’s vitality is rooted in our local community and sponsors frequent literary events and author signings in Little Rock.

Founded in 1974, the Homer Bookstore is the oldest independent bookstore on the Kenai Peninsula. It offers a wide variety of books and e-books as well as stationery, journals, and calendars. It accepts special orders via phone or e-mail. Hours are Monday through Saturday 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Founded in 1991, Title Wave Books is located in the Northern Lights Center of Anchorage, Alaska. This independent bookstore and Internet cafe features thirty thousand square feet of books and music. The store buys used books, DVDs, CDs, and audio books. Hours are Monday through Saturday 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Sunday 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Established in 1990, Alabama Booksmith is an independent bookstore offering a storefront as well as an online inventory for customers to purchase books.
