Cafe con Libros

Cafe con Libros is an intersectional feminist bookstore welcoming of all who stand with and on behalf of the full human rights of womxn and girls. Located in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, this bookstore and café hosts a regular reading series and community book clubs.

Volumes Bookcafe: Wicker Park

Volumes Bookcafe is an independent bookstore cafe with two locations in Chicago: Wicker Park and Gold Coast. Volumes is a family-owned business, brought to life by two Chicago-area sisters whose careers have always been intertwined with books. With heavily curated shelves of books, and a tasty menu of baked goods, quality espresso drinks and an array of local beer and wine, they aim to create a warm and inviting community space for book lovers of all ages.

Space Cowboy Books

Space Cowboy Books is a science fiction bookstore in Joshua Tree, California. Open since 2016, the bookstore hosts readings, book launches, movie screenings, art shows, and live music.

Prospero’s Books

Founded in 1997 with three floors of books and media, Prospero’s Books is housed in a historic 1890 building in Kansas City, Missouri. The store hosts readings, book releases, and other performance events.

Rainy Day Books

Rainy Day Books is a full-line, full-service bookstore, carrying an array of carefully selected new books for adults and children alike. This bookstore hosts more than three hundred author events each year. Since Vivien Jennings first opened the doors in 1975, Rainy Day Books has provided the Greater Kansas City community with a gathering place, a wellspring for ideas and creative thought, and an ongoing voice for literacy and awareness. 

Binnacle Books

Binnacle specializes in used and new literature, poetry, literary nonfiction, political history, art, drama, philosophy, graphic novels, and children's books. The shop can accommodate special orders, and is always looking to acquire quality used paperbacks in excellent condition.

The bookstore is a collaborative endeavor by four partners, who have collectively been writers, editors, musicians, producers, organizers, teachers, filmmakers, and booksellers.

Split Rock Books

Split Rock Books was founded in 2018 by Heidi and Michael Bender, a married couple. After over ten years working as booksellers (and in Michael’s case, as a librarian too!) in a variety of stores in New York City and beyond, they moved up to Cold Spring to open up their own store. 

Split Rock carries a curated selection of new books with a focus on literary fiction and nonfiction, small presses, local interests, and children’s books. The shop hosts a variety of children’s and family programming, book clubs, readings, signings, and discussions.
