The 2024 Indiana University Writers’ Conference was held from June 6 to June 9 in Bloomington, Indiana. The conference featured workshops, craft classes, panel discussions, and readings for poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers. The faculty included poets Jos Charles and torrin a. greathouse, fiction writers Angela Jackson-Brown and Sequoia Nagamatsu, and nonfiction writers T Kira Māhealani Madden and Alex Marzano-Lesnevich. The cost of the conference, including tuition for a workshop and all classes, panels, and readings, was $825.

The 37th annual A Rally of Writers conference was held on April 13 at the West Campus of Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan. The conference featured workshops, panel discussions, and readings in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. Participating writers included poets Laura Apol and Masaki Takahashi; fiction writers Erin Bartels, Steven Harper Piziks, Lev Raphael, Jay Whistler, and Claudia Whitsitt; and nonfiction writer Andrea King Collier. Poet Nandi Comer gave the keynote address.

The 49th annual Southampton Writers Conference was held from July 10 to July 14 at the Stony Brook Southampton campus in Southampton, New York, located on the Atlantic coast 90 miles east of New York City. The conference featured workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as readings and an agent panel. The faculty included poets Billy Collins and Diana Khoi Nguyen, fiction writer Julia Phillips, fiction and nonfiction writers Matthew Klam and Frederic Tuten, and memoirist Nadia Owusu.

The annual Tinker Mountain Writers’ Workshop was held from June 9 to June 13 at the Hollins University campus in Roanoke, Virginia. The conference featured generative manuscript workshops and tutorials in poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and multigenre work, as well as craft talks, individual conferences with faculty members, readings, and social events. The faculty included poet Rebecca Lindenberg; fiction writers Rachel Beanland, Amanda Cockrell, Dorothy Hassan, Fred Leebron, Daniel Mueller, and Laura Ruby; and nonfiction writer James McKean.
